Forbes reports that at least half of us now can work remotely if we choose to. Enterprise companies like Aetna and American Express have reported saving tens of millions of dollars in operating costs because of remote work options.

Forbes magazine recently quoted statistics from a report by Kensington that a laptop is stolen every 53 seconds, and more than 70 million cell phones are lost each year. The article also notes that 41 percent of all data breach events in a 10-year period ending in 2015 were caused by lost devices such as laptops and mobile devices.
